Fern York . . .

        Passed away peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, Fern York (nee Smirle) of Chesterville, age 85.  Loving wife of Eldon York for 65 years.  Loving mother of Sandra Gerbrecht (Rick) of Victoria, B.C. and Rhonda Masters (Jeff) of Sault Ste. Marie.  Dear sister of Joan Reveler (Bert) of Ottawa and Muriel McRae (late Clare) of Winchester.  Fern will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Melissa (Jarid), Ben, Laura (Cam) and Michael.  She was predeceased by her parents Jacob and Alice Smirle (nee Summers), her sisters Vera Boothe and Joyce Styles and her brothers Wilson and Eldon Smirle.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Arrangements . . .

        A public graveside service will be held at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville on Tuesday, Oct. 22nd at 11:00 a.m.  A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion in Chesterville.
