Iena Van’t Foort . . .

        Passed away suddenly at the Ottawa Heart Institute on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, Iena Van’t Foort (nee Vanderhoning Hoftyzer) of Iroquois, age 61.  Loving wife of Harry Van’t Foort.  Loving mother of Gregory Van’t Foort (Maeghan) of Spencerville and Julie MacGregor (Jordan) of Mariatown.  Oma will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Gerrit, Violet and Fergus. Biological sister of Agnes Hazelwood (Dave) of Nova Scotia, John Hultink (Anne) of Alberta, Henry Hultink (Dianne) of Grimsby and Wendy Vanderhoning of Ontario.  Sister of John Hoftyzer (Helen) of Belleville, George Hoftyzer (Wilhemina) of Brinston, Bill Hoftyzer (Joanne) of Iroquois, Joanne Minnis (Neal) of Kingston and Wilma Datema (Mark) of Ottawa.  Dear sister-in-law of Audrey Vanderhoning of Nova Scotia, Wilma Mudde (Martin) of Ottawa, Betty Seminowicz (Al) of Durham, Tena Van’t Foort (Bryan Barbour) of Owen Sound, Tim Van’t Foort (Birgit) of Westport and Marg Joldersma (Ginus) of Brinston and Dan Hubert of Smiths Falls.  She was predeceased by her son Scott Van’t Foort, her biological brother Andy Vanderhoning and her sisters-in-law Linda Hubert and Joanne Van ‘t Foort.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

 

Funeral Arrangements

        Friends may call at the Community Christian Reformed Church in Dixons Corners on Monday, Oct. 21st from 3:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Community Christian Reformed Church on Tuesday, Oct. 22nd at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will be at Spruce Haven Cemetery in Brinston. 

        Donations to Timothy Christian School, Winchester Hospital, Ottawa Heart Institute or the CCRC Youth Fund would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
