Randy Moke .  .  .

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Randy Wallace Moke of Newington, at the age of 71, on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024.  Randy was a well-respected figure in the agricultural community, dedicated to dairy farming and cash cropping for 45 years.  His commitment to the land and his work was highly regarded by those around him.  In addition to his career in farming, Randy gave 35 years of service as a volunteer firefighter, during which he served as acting fire chief for several of those years; this was a role he held with pride and responsibility until his retirement. Randy is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Carolyn Moke (née McRae), and his son Jason Moke (Jen), and daughters Amanda Nugent (Randy), and Maggie Temperli (Martin).  He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Aimee Moke, as well as his parents, Wallace and Arlene (née Presley) Moke.  A cherished grandfather, Randy leaves behind 13 grandchildren: Joshua, Jordan, Dawson, Logan, Skylar, Taylor, Cole, Haden, Merissa, Wyatt, Kaelyn, Neah, and Nolan, and 1 great-grandson Levi. He is also survived by his sister, Terilyn Moke, and his brothers, Larney Moke and Derry Moke, along with many nieces and nephews. Randy’s dedication to his family, his farm, and his community will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
